What is medical herbalism?

Medical herbalism is the art and science of using nature’s healing plants to support the body’s innate ability to heal.  Unlike conventional medicine that often focuses on symptoms, medical herbalism looks at the whole person – body, mind, and spirit.  It’s about using plants in their most potent, natural form to restore balance and prevent disease, rather than just masking symptoms.

As a Master Herbalist, Anna carefully selects herbs that align with your unique needs, whether you’re dealing with chronic conditions, stress, or digestive issues.  These plants contain powerful compounds that can work in harmony with your body’s systems, gently guiding them back to health.  The beauty of herbalism lies in its ability to empower you, helping you understand your body’s rhythms and signals while providing long-lasting results.

Choosing herbal medicine is choosing a more natural, sustainable approach to health – one that builds resilience, fosters vitality, and enhances well-being over time.  It’s not about quick fixes but about cultivating lasting wellness in a way that aligns with your personal journey to health.

What to expect after a consultation?

  • As part of your treatment programme, Anna will provide you with a comprehensive report. This report will include a full analysis of your iris profile as well as advice on diet including recipes, lifestyle recommendations and suitable alternative therapies or daily rituals that may be helpful.
  • Bespoke herbal formulas will be prepared by Anna, tailored specifically for the needs of each individual client. These can be administered as a tincture, a powder, an infusion, a decoction or capsules etc.  These formulas are personalised to each individual depending on their specific needs.
  • A follow-up consultation is recommended after one month. This gives both Anna and the client a chance to review the issues at hand and adjust herbal remedies, if necessary.
